If you've signed up for PSS's eBay VIP partnership, this article is your action item for today — not just background reading. Approval takes 2–3 weeks, and the sooner you submit, the sooner your listings start benefiting from it.

How to Submit to eBay Underwriting

  1. Go to ebay.com/vip
  2. click on Subscription and add Monthly Anchor Store
  3. This opens to the Account tab — the onboarding wizard. A progress bar tracks how many required tasks are done, and refreshing the page automatically re-checks your progress, so there's nothing to manually mark complete.
  4. Work through each task below — the wizard won't submit anything until every required item is checked off.

The 13 tasks the wizard checks

eBay & PayPal

  • eBay Account, eBay Business Account, and your eBay Tax Table (set up under My eBay → Site Preferences)
  • PayPal Business Account, plus linking your eBay and PayPal accounts

⚠️ Warning: When entering your PayPal email, click Go first, then click Verify & Proceed below it. Skipping the Go button is the most common reason this step doesn't save.

Profile Settings

  • Required. These are your default listing settings in VIP: item condition, seller information, logo, and About the Seller content. They populate every listing unless PSS sends different settings.

Subscriptions (unlocks only after every eBay & PayPal task is complete)

  • Basic Store Subscription: free with the program. You'll enter a credit or debit card to sign up, but it won't be charged.
  • Selling Manager Pro Subscription: also free. You just need to sign up.
  • Global Shipping: optional. Opens your listings to international buyers through eBay's Global Shipping Program.
  • Raise Limits Request and Special Rate Request: nothing for you to do. eBay's teams review these on a weekly cycle, so allow 5 to 10 business days for each.

Listing Template

  • Choose the design that appears at the bottom of your eBay listings, where your seller and payment details show.

🛑 Critical: Once your Special Rate Request is submitted, you have 60 days to launch your full inventory on eBay. Missing that window removes the account from the program. You also need to keep an Above Standard seller performance rating to stay enrolled.

What happens while you wait

You don't need approval to keep moving. Continue immersing yourself in the knowledge base and start building your eBay listings — your VIP benefits will apply automatically once approval comes through.  It is not uncommon for new dealers to go live with 5,000-10,000 listings.
