Connecting eBay
PSS needs permission to work in your eBay account before it can create listings, update stock and prices, or pull in orders. Connecting takes about two minutes, and you'll only redo it if the connection ever expires.

What you'll learn
- How to connect your eBay account
- How to tell if the connection has expired, and how to renew it
- How to fix the most common connection problems
Connect your eBay account
- In PSS, go to Settings > eBay.
- Click Grant Access. A new window opens to eBay's sign-in page.
- Sign in with the eBay account that has your eBay Store subscription.
- Review the permissions and click I Agree.
- The window closes. Back in PSS, click Save.

⚠️ Warning: Clicking Save after you return from eBay is the step most dealers miss. Without it, the connection isn't stored.
📌 Key Point: After connecting, the token fields on the eBay Settings page look empty. That's normal. The connection is stored securely in the background, so there's no need to redo it.
What PSS can do with your account
Connecting lets PSS manage your listings (create, update and end them), view and process your orders, and read your store settings. PSS never sees your eBay password or your financial details.
If the connection expires
eBay connections expire periodically for security. PSS renews yours automatically in the background, so most dealers never notice. Occasionally, though, the renewal fails.
Signs your connection has expired:
- New listings aren't appearing on eBay, or stock and price changes aren't showing up
- Authorization or token errors in PSS
- New eBay orders aren't coming into PSS
To renew it, repeat the same five connection steps above with the same eBay account. Normal syncing resumes within a few minutes.
Troubleshooting
| What you see | What to do |
|---|---|
| The eBay window doesn't open | Your browser is blocking popups. Allow popups for PSS, or try Chrome or Firefox. |
| The eBay page won't load or shows an error | Clear your browser cache and cookies and restart the browser. If it still fails, eBay may be down. Try again in 30 minutes. |
| Connected, but still nothing is syncing | Confirm you clicked Save, then wait 10–15 minutes for the next sync. If it's still stuck, contact support. |
