Current eBay Job Schedules and Timing

In simple software terms the PSS Feed Schedule for eBay is as follows:

Ebay: Listing Creation Feeds - Daily (9:00 am Pacific)

Ebay: Listing Revision Feeds - Daily (7:00 am Pacific)

Below we go into more detail on how these feeds process.

Listing Creations

Once you create a listing in PSS it will be set to a Pending Creation Status.  We only send Creation Feeds to eBay once per day between 9 am PST and 10 am PST.

These feeds take eBay about 1-3 hours to process.  New listings are usually online between 11 am PST and 1 pm PST.

Example for EAST Coast Users:

Any given day, if you create a listing after 1 pm EST; don't expect to see it online until the following day around 4 pm EST.

To get listings created and online, same day, you must create before 12 pm EST

Example for WEST Coast Users:

Any given day, if you create a listing after 9 am PST; don't expect to see it online until the following day around 1 pm PST.

To get listings created and online, same day, you must create before 9 am PST

Listing Revisions

Revisions for Price, Inventory, Product and Listing Data will be sent to eBay once per day between 7 am PST and 8 am PST.  These feeds take 6-10 hours to process in full.

Example for EAST Coast Users:

Any given day, if you revise a listing after 10 am EST; don't expect to see the change reflected online until the following day around 6 pm EST.

To get listings revised, same day, you must revise in PSS before 10 am EST

Why we do it This Way

We understand that when it comes to inventory updates more is often better.  And we understand that our updates might not be as frequent as you are used to.  However, there is logic to why PSS cannot provide multiple updates per day.

PSS aggregates inventories for a single product across multiple distributors. Some of which may or may not update their inventory and price files only once per day. If we were to recalculate inventories that included what might be considered an out of date inventory file there exists a potential to show items with higher stock levels than there actually.

Prices and general listing data work a little differently.  At any point in time if you require an immediate price, product, or listing update please open a ticket and we will comply by submitting fresh feeds to eBay.

For the support ticket simply use the subject "Please send daily price & listing data revisions"
