Brand Exclusions (Global)

Use this when you want to completely hide a brand from your webstore. The brand will not appear anywhere — not in search results, not in any category.


How to Get There

  1. From the main menu, go to Webstore
  2. Click Product Exclusions

What You'll See

The page is divided into sections — one for each distributor you subscribe to. Each section can be expanded or collapsed by clicking on it.

Next to each distributor name, you'll see a count showing how many brands are currently excluded (e.g., "Parts Unlimited (3 excluded)").


Excluding a Brand

Option A — Find a specific brand:

  1. Type the brand name into the Search by Manufacturer box at the top of the page
  2. Select the brand from the dropdown suggestions
  3. The distributor section(s) carrying that brand will automatically expand and highlight the matching brand
  4. Check the checkbox next to the brand name
  5. Click Save at the bottom of the page

Option B — Browse by distributor:

  1. Click a distributor name to expand its section
  2. Scroll through the list of brands under that distributor
  3. Check the checkbox next to each brand you want to exclude
  4. Click Save at the bottom of the page

Option C — Exclude all brands from a distributor:

  1. Click a distributor name to expand its section
  2. Click the Select All button in the upper-right corner of that section
  3. Every brand under that distributor will be checked
  4. Click Save at the bottom of the page

Removing an Exclusion

To make a previously excluded brand visible on your webstore again:

  1. Find the brand (using search or by expanding the distributor section)
  2. Uncheck the checkbox next to the brand name
  3. Click Save

To remove all exclusions for a distributor at once:

  1. Expand the distributor section
  2. Click Deselect All (this button appears when brands are currently selected)
  3. Click Save

Important Notes

  • Changes take effect on your webstore after you click Save
  • Excluding a brand removes it from search results and category pages — customers will not be able to find or see products from that brand
  • If the same brand is carried by multiple distributors, it appears under each one. You only need to check it once — checking it under any distributor excludes the brand across your entire webstore
  • Exclusions do not delete products from your account. They only hide them from the webstore. Removing the exclusion will make the products visible again
