Managing Listings

Once your listings are live, you'll spend most of your eBay time here: finding listings, fixing problems, making edits and taking listings on or off eBay.

🎥 Insert video here: a tour of eBay Listing Management.

What you'll learn

  • How to find any listing fast
  • How to edit listings the right way
  • When to repost, end, disable or delete
  • How to export your listings

🛑 Critical: Always edit listings in PSS, never directly in eBay Seller Hub. PSS is the system of record, so any change made in eBay is overwritten by the next daily revision feed.

View your listings

Go to eBay > Listing Management. Each row shows the eBay Item ID, status, template, title and subtitle. Click any column header to sort.

Find listings fast

Search by brand, MPN or keyword, or use the filters:

Filter Use it to
Listing Status Find problems: failed, offline or error listings
Catalog Type Show Aftermarket, OEM or Private products
Manufacturer Group, MPN Find a brand or a specific part
Distributor, Distributor SKU See what comes from a specific distributor
Listing Template See everything on one template
Price Range, Created Date Range Narrow by price or by when you listed
eBay Item ID, Listing Title Jump to one exact listing

💡 Pro Tip: Make filtering by error statuses part of your weekly routine. A listing stuck in an error status can't sell. See Listing Statuses, Errors, and Fixes.

Preview a listing

Click any row to open its preview. It shows the template, status and price, a rendered description, and eBay's responses from when the listing was created or last revised, including any warnings or errors. Click the eBay Item ID to open the live listing on eBay.

Edit listings

  • Title or subtitle: click it in the table to edit inline. This is the quickest fix for Title Length and Duplicate Title errors.
  • Shipping, returns, category and other template settings: reassign the listing to a different template. Changes go out in the next revision feed.
  • Price, description or images for one product: use an override.

Repost, end, disable or delete

Select one or more listings with the checkboxes, then choose an action.

Action What happens Use it when
Repost Sends ended or failed listings back to eBay in the next creation feed A listing expired, failed or was removed, and you've fixed the cause
End Takes the listing off eBay. The PSS record stays. You need listings off eBay fast, like during a recall or a pricing error
Disable Ends the eBay listing and pauses syncing. All your setup is kept, and you can re-enable it any time. Seasonal items, supplier backorders, troubleshooting
Delete Ends the eBay listing and permanently removes the PSS record. No undo. Discontinued products, listings made in error, test listings

⚠️ Warning: When in doubt, disable instead of delete. You can always delete a disabled listing later, but you can't get a deleted one back.

📌 Key Point: A reposted listing comes back as a new eBay listing with a new Item ID. If you promote listings by hand-picking them, check your campaigns after reposting. See eBay Promoted Listings.

Export your listings

  • Everything: run a full eBay listings export from the File Center.
  • Just what you've filtered: filter the Listing Management table, then export the results.

Exports are useful for auditing prices and templates, reporting, or working in a spreadsheet.
