Drop-Ship Eligibility
The Drop Ship button only appears on an order item that meets every requirement below. If it's missing, one of these isn't met. Work down the list to find which one.
What you'll learn
- Every requirement an item must meet to be drop-shipped
- How to fix each one
Eligibility checklist
| Requirement | What it means | If it's not met |
|---|---|---|
| Aftermarket product | The item is from the Aftermarket catalog | OEM and Private products can't be drop-shipped. Fulfill them yourself. |
| Order status is New | The order hasn't been processed, shipped or cancelled | Check the order status in Orders |
| Has a distributor part | The product is linked to a part number from a supported distributor | Check the product's distributors in your catalog |
| Marked for drop-ship | The product qualifies for drop-ship under your inventory rules (1-day lead time) | Adjust the warehouse's drop-ship cutoff. See Inventory Rules & Lead Times. |
| Supported distributor | Western Powersports, Parts Unlimited or Automatic Distributors | Other distributors aren't supported yet |
| Credentials set up | That distributor's credentials are filled in, with no empty fields | Complete them in Order Automation: Setup |
| No existing purchase order | The item hasn't already been drop-shipped | Each item can only be drop-shipped once |
📌 Key Point: The "Marked for drop-ship" requirement can be bypassed with the Override Drop-Ship Rules setting, but we don't recommend it. It removes the safety check that keeps slow or unsuitable items from being drop-shipped.
